What is the Old World Review?

Send your draft to: oldworldreview[at]proton.me

The Old World Review publishes short essays and introductions to interesting histories and cultural phenomena from Eurasia. The website hopes to bring together essays on lesser known tidbits of history and culture, providing a platform for more exploratory, potentially unrefined topics.

We are particularly interested in stories on histories of small nations and languages, on borderlands and exchanges, as well as lesser studied art histories. Contemporary topics, such as underground art and subaltern cultures are also in the interests of OWR.

We take submissions! The footnotes are not required, but a brief bibliography is strongly recommended. The preferred word count is between 2000 – 3000 words, though this is not a hard constraint.
